On his birthday, well-known gospel musician Minister Preye Odede gave his band leader Stephen Okechukwu Emmanuel (Ekrest) a car and his pianist/music director Egede Paul (paul piano) and drummer Omonije Joshua (Jaybee) each one million naira.

As he made this announcement during the “THE MOVE” event last Friday in Port Harcourt, Pastor Lanre Oluseye of House On The Rock Port Harcourt contributed an additional N1,000,000 to the drummer and N500,000 to the pianist in support of Minister Preye’s charitable efforts.

The fact that Min. Preye was giving out gifts of such magnitude on his own birthday is unusual, as seen by a number of comments on social media. Most people would anticipate receiving gifts on their birthdays. Additionally, this is a first for the Port Harcourt music scene.
