God’s Love by Matthew Samson

“God’s Love” is a song I wrote from my in-depth revelation and
understanding of the love of Christ—the love He has continually revealed
to me throughout my life.

I came to understand that God’s love was present even before I was born,
while I was still in my mother’s womb. His love remained with me
throughout my life—even when I was in the world, living in waywardness
and sin. His love never abandoned me.

The scriptural foundation of this song is John 3:16 and Romans 5:8.
These Scriptures reveal the depth of God’s love: that He gave His only
Son for humanity and demonstrated His love toward us even while we were
still sinners.

“God’s Love” is more than a song to me; it is an experience. I have
experienced the love of God, and that love has become a living reality
within me. He brought His love to me, shared His love with me, and
demonstrated His love through the suffering, death, and sacrifice of
Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.

RECORDING JOURNEY
This song was received in 2023. It was recorded in two major recording
studios in Nigeria.

The first recording was done in Upright Studio, Lagos State, and the
song was finally mixed and mastered at Chief Jay Professional Recording
Studio, New Heaven, Enugu State, Nigeria.

MY CHILDHOOD TESTIMONY
This song is also connected to an experience from my childhood that my
mother shared with me as I grew older.

When I was about three years old, I became terribly sick and was
reportedly at the point of death. According to what my mother later told
me, the situation became so serious that my uncle suggested that I
should be buried alive. But my mother refused.

By God’s grace, I survived.

As I grew older and my mother shared this experience with me, I began to
reflect on what happened and came to see it as part of my testimony—a
reminder of God’s preservation and mercy over my life.

That experience became part of the inspiration behind “God’s Love.” I
wanted to turn my gratitude and revelation into a song that speaks about
the unfailing love of God and what His love means to me.

Through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, salvation has been made available
to humanity, calling us from sin, worldliness, ignorance, and separation
from God into the knowledge of Christ and a life surrendered to Him.

I wrote “God’s Love” as a declaration of what I have come to understand
and experience about the love of God. It is also an expression of my
surrender to His will and my gratitude for His love, mercy,
preservation, and salvation.

A SONG FOR THE CHURCH
I desire for “God’s Love” to become a song that can be used by church
choirs, worship teams, and congregations during ministrations and
worship.

My desire is that the song will help people reflect on the love of God
and respond to Him with worship, gratitude, faith, repentance, and
surrender.

I encourage believers everywhere to receive this song, listen to it,
share it, and support it so that its message can reach many lives.

My prayer is that “God’s Love” will serve as a platform to tell the
whole world that:

God’s love is real.
God’s love is demonstrated.
God’s love is sacrificial.
God’s love is available to humanity.
And God’s love is revealed through Jesus Christ.
