Road Trippin’ with Angels by House of Neo
DJ Matrix’s “Road Trippin’ With Angels” is a feel good ride built for open roads and good vibes. Its uplifting energy, infectious groove, and carefree spirit make it an easy listen that captures the joy of simply letting the music take you somewhere. It is also a refreshing track that proves Matrix still knows how to create memorable moments through sounds.
I am DJ Matrix – the ORIGINAL DJ Matrix – not to be confused with the numerous “me-too’s” using the same name. I was established in 1986 when I independently released the iconic “Feel My Bass.” That song was used to win countless break dance competitions all over the world. Many fans have posted YouTube links to that song for years, with comments in the tens of thousands, ALL positive! However, I released that song while serving in the US Marines, and shortly after, the Gulf War started and that put an end to my music career… or so I thought. Fast forward nearly four decades, and the legendary Egyptian Lover searched for me and pulled me out of retirement to attempt a comeback. He and I collaborated on “Hypnotic” and released it as my comeback single on 808 Day (August 8) 2025. More recently, I collaborated with Beat Junkies founder J.Rocc on “Feel My Bass (Reloaded),” which was just released this past March 22.
My fans have been begging me for years to remake that song, and I must admit, I like it much better than the original! House Of Neo is my brand-new alter ego, which will be the platform I use to release House and Dubstep tracks. House Of Neo’s debut single, “Drift Away,” was just released on June 5th and is doing well. “Tension” is the follow up to Drift Away, but brings a much different feel. “Road Trippin’ With Angels” is the perfect road trip track. It’s fun and uplifting! I plan to release a single every month through the end of the year, culminating with the release of a full album.
